I'm a "legal Alien", wherever I go I'm a foreigner. I was born in Argentina, but I grew up in Italy. In Italy I was "the Argentinian". In Argentina I was "the Italian". Now I live in Hong Kong and I'm a "gweilo". That's fine with me, I like thinking I'm actually a citizen of the world.
I graduated from the Istituto Europeo di Design in Turin (Italy) in 1995 as illustrator.
Since then I've been working with advertising, publishing, multimedia companies and toy manufacturers.
I've been living in Hong Kong since the year 2000 and I'm now a Hong Kong citizen.
After graduating I used to work with water-colours and coloured pencils, however in the past decade I moved to digital painting (with a Wacom Intuos 3), as it allows me to work faster, keep better control of colours for the output and correct mistakes easily and quickly (essential when doing commercial work).
In the past few years I've been working on diverse projects: CD-Roms, children book illustrations, 3D and Flash animation, packaging design, etc...
My tools are Photoshop, Painter and Illustrator. I've abandoned 3D entirely, because it's a very specific expertise I'm not interested in pursuing. Illustration has always been my main passion .
I often have to adapt my style to the job's requirement, although I'm naturally inclined towards comic style and digital painting.
I like sharing my visions with others. Art is about self-expression and putting at good use the style an artist has been working on for long. Whenever I'm given that chance I can say I'm happy.
